Oh COLD!!!!

I was going to just post all of my pictures, but decided to do it a bit differently. I went out and took pictures when we got home yesterday, and it was FREEZING!!! You can prep yourself for it in your mind all you want, but when you still get out in it you don't know what hit you.
At least I THOUGHT it was cold. A few hours after we got in, it started snowing, and snowed and blew all day and night. We went in to town to pick grandma up and bring her out to the farm for the weekend, and slipped and slid all the way there and back.
Today's been a snowed in day, so we haven't done much, but this afternoon I went out and took the same pictures that I took yesterday, only with snow in them.
I thought YESTERDAY was cold, but today was even colder! It was worth it though.
I put the photos next to each other so you can see the difference ;) Enjoy.

Oh CANADA!!!!

My parents have been trying to go to Canada for several weeks now, but for some reason or another it hasn't worked out. They decided to try again for this weekend, and it was one of my last chances to use my days off from work, so I decided to go with them.
We decided to leave on Thursday, so I packed up and headed to my parent's house in the morning, but the van was in the shop with a transmission problem. MY car had a cylinder that wasn't working, so I set to work trying to fix it if the van didn't end up getting fixed.
I went to 3 different parts places trying to figure out what the problem was and what part I needed, and tried changing spark plugs and coils, but nothing worked so I finally gave up and took it into a shop for a diagnosis. How embarrassing...
They figured out one of the rods that connected the coil to the spark plugs was broken out, so they replaced it. Wow. Big difference.
About that same time, the van got fixed, so we packed it up and headed out that night.
It was me, my mom, and dad, in the minivan. Dad started driving first, and I slept off and on in the back. Dad took a wrong turn along the way, and we got lost for a little bit in the middle of nowhere, but thanks to several google-map savvy family members, we found our way back to the freeway heading the right direction.
Several hours later I was woken up and I drove the rest of the way.
We got in at about 7:00 am, and my parents crashed. I wasn't tired, so I geared up and went outside to take some photos.

A little blurry, but cool.

Candy houses!!!

Every year the day after thanksgiving we get together with friends and family and make candy houses. This year was great!

Family Photos!!!

It'd been a while since we had the whole family together, so we've taken advantage of the last few times to take pictures! :) I'm posting a few from Conference in October and then some of the ones we did after Thanksgiving (in black so the turkey doesn't show).
